Today in Parents on school Facebook group: Should a 89.91% be an A or a B+? -- (edited)
|
To quote from the replies which cracked me up:
Superintendent: There is not district policy at high school. At the high school level teachers do not do as they please but each may have established specific criterion regarding grading. And, that is ok so long as it is applied in an equitable manner and based upon the teachers knowledge and interactions with a student.
(obil note: there is a middle school policy to round up at like 89.5% because GPA is not involved.)
Parent: I sent my child to summer school for a 69% in gym. GYM. $150. Maybe she should have had better interaction with the gym teacher.
Superintendent: Or earned a higher grade
