I'm sure there are particular reasons why one retailer fails and another similar retailer survives

my only observation is that in general, the US economy is suffering from too much capacity. There are simply too many banks, too many auto dealers, too many car factories, too many book stores, too many electronic stores. Part of what we're seeing now is the big shakeout, when that overcapacity is purged out of the economy. And it's not pleasant.
