if anyone's paying any real attention they should know that gdp numbers are not "numerical proof" of anything at all...

they have a tendency to be revised heavily and the sort of implicit price deflator numbers that are used in calculations clearly have a bias to the upside. the fact that it's slightly better than "expected" (and i could rant here about just how poor those expectations themselves have a tendency to be, but i won't) will be used as more of an excuse to rally some than proof of anything at all.
