I have had the lowest Democratic opinion of Obama going back to 2008 here. Even at their worst, none of these people had half the blind idiocy to reality that Trump supporters do.

Obama was a ray of naive hope in a dangerously failing economic world. Trump is peddling a world that doesn't exist. The economy in large part is as strong as it's been in 15 years, but listening to Trumpians, its worse than 8 years ago.

Obama was a ray of hope in a failed military world...and even his failings (numerous) are more stabilizing than anything Trump and his believers peddle. More nukes? Friends with Russia? This is the same party that claims Reagan in one breath and then obliterates his greatest success by falling all over Russia.

To equate blind optimism in the face of real challenges to the fervor shown by a group divorced from any visible reality is absurd.
