Are they just general circulation coins or are the special mint products?

If they are from the US Mint and are commemmoratives or proof/mint sets they could be worth a lot.

If they are from a third party private mint they are likely only worth bullion value.

If they are coins culled from circulation (dimes, quarters, etc) condition will play a hug part in whether they have value beyond bullion.
