possibly slightly irrational level of irritation - a local restaurant is adding a 3% "employer mandates" charge - for a city that doesn't have that.

(like, say, san francisco has their health fee or whatever they call it.)
it's on top of tax and a mandatory 20% gratuity. group of 10, going with a prix fixe menu of $55 each to simplify and maybe save some $ vs. random ordering.
google shows there's only one other restaurant in the relevant city that shows that 3% (maybe the same owner, I don't know). the one I'm working with is a pricey place - a greedy, pricey place. grr.
