In response to "Does it help or damage the high-performing student? -- nm" by Strongbad

It may help, but it's absurd to say that is for the greater good when you take those kids out and leave every special needs kid behind.

Sure private schools end up with better results. Because if the results aren't up to their standards, they just ship those kids out and make the public deal with them.

Does an individual kid benefit by participating in an accelerated program free of distraction? Obviously.

But as the head of education, those kids aren't her only concern. Kids with ADHD are. Kids with down syndrome are. Kids with families that have minimal incomes are. They ALL are.
