Electorically speaking the Democrats are in their worst position since the creation of the party so yes, they should think it's time to do figure out to get more votes.
Excluding slightly-less-than-half of America's women from the party purity test doesn't strike me as a good way to start that process. But ya'll are talking business as usual and seem content so have at it.
