solely. And I can't help but wonder if the briefing includes some sort of warning that if you try to do something with the codes that intelligence thinks threatens the safety of America, they'll take you out.

I've read/seen too many spy books/movies apparently.

(Mind you, an intelligence apparatus that would threaten to kill the POTUS is terrifying)
