it's not just me, man. how many others have you had similar exchanges with, how many have you told it's not personal, that you don't want to win, that we're over-sensitive, etc.? do you see others feeling they need to do that regularly, if at all? I'm not saying you're completely at fault because, for better or worse, and, at least for me, because it's danged hard to leave something that feels like criticism/mocking/insert-other-negatives-here alone, we continue to respond and react.

you're telling us that how we feel is incorrect, that we're somehow in the wrong for it because we just don't get that although you say it's not your intent, we are still getting those feelings from the way you post. I don't expect you to change; but, at this point, you have to know you're going to get these kinds of comments periodically, and that, even if it's not your intent, you do play a non-victim role in what happens.
