I don't question the ability of Phi Beta Kappa, Oxford, and GWU to pick out smart people.

Sean Spicer graduated Connecticut College. While it's no Ivy League school, it has an excellent reputation for academics and is known for producing Fulbright Scholars. He also earned a graduate degree from the Naval War College -- and that's not small beer.

Steve Bannon went to Virginia Tech for undergrad, then earned both an M.B.A from the Harvard Business School and a master's from Georgetown.

Jared Kushner graduated cum laude from Harvard, then went on to earn a joint J.D./M.B.A from NYU.

These people are not -- in any way -- uninformed, uneducated, bumbling idiots. They know exactly what they're doing.
