When I was maybe 6 or 7 we bought some baby chicks colored for Easter from Woolworths (yes, that was a thing). They used to climb on our collie.

I'd forgotten that until seeing this video. I used to slide them down my slide to land on the dog. I don't know how the chickens felt about it but I and the dog enjoyed it. They became fixated on my mother. Whenever she would come home from wherever and open the car door they were right there, climbing in and on her.
Then my evil father rang their necks (after they grew) and made my mother cook them. He ate them. My mother and I did not. You don't eat pets.
