Sure, it's one of the reasons I come here as well. But "here's the latest awful thing, just 2 hours after the last awful thing" is wearying.

There isn't really a solution - what are we supposed to do as a group, not post about current events? For every political post, make a post about puppies?
But Bery has made tools to help posters ignore particular people, and I'd be fine with the ability to ignore a particular thread if it's not something I want to pay attention to right now.
