By the end, establishment Republicans were his only real supporters. Trump is the inverse of that. He could easily lose the establishment set, but the true believers would support him even if a 666 sprouted on his forehead during the Second Coming. So, I think those numbers are reasonable for modeling.
Thus far, he's shown no interest in trying to get people who were on the fence about him to move to his side. He has upward mobility if he just doesn't ruin anything since so many people are braced for the absolute worst. It's like the folks who praise BvS. Nobody understands them, but they get polled, too.
