I have to think the military will have enough influence in this situation to, IF he wanted to turn it into theater - they'd suggest modifications -- (edited)

and that he'd be receptive to that. Hopefully, the sober nature and solemnity of that situation quiets and humbles everyone and let's them suppress their more distasteful instincts. Someone died on our behalf. All of us.
