oh, c'mon. historically, when america has a dynamic economy, it creates companies. they don't just consolidate....

you can make all the excuses you want, but history does not bear that out. creating new companies while old ones die has been the basis for the economic power of the us economy for the last couple hundred years. the fact that consolidations and mergers are perhaps on the rise is nothing more than industry concentration. if you think that's good news, good luck to you.
