Turns out the mom didn't pull the hand brake and the car rolled down an embankment. It was never stolen. I hope there's not more to this story, and it's just an accident. I won't even call anyone stupid. Shit happens. But I'm still left thinking of the terrified girl strapped into this car on a cold February night in PA and how frightening it must have been when the car rolled down a hill and into the woods.
