Not sure yet. I'm also thinking of taking a motorcycle tour through Southeast Asia for my 50th birthday in 2018, and I'm not sure I can afford to do both.

And (I don't mean this as a humblebrag) Congressional staff are cautioned to take extra steps when traveling internationally: check in with every embassy and consulate in the regions you're traveling too, don't broadcast on social media, consider buying kidnap and ransom insurance, etc. etc. etc.

It's actually fairly difficult to go overland between Panama and Colombia from what I've heard. You might want to check into that. -- nm - spamlet Feb 7, 11:24 2
