From what I understand of our ATC systems, they certainly are a bit dated and could use upgrades

But that's a significant undertaking and not as simple as just buying better, cheaper equipment.

there was a plan in place to upgrade all the equipment by 2020, but I have no idea where it stands....it was supposed to save up to 5% of fuel - crash davis Feb 10, 12:13 1
