there are conflicting stories, but it all stems from a long running feud between dolan and oakley...

it goes back a while, there are some old stories about knicks security previously following oakley around at msg, and another one about oakley being refused access to a game at one point. it seems like whatever happened is just a blowup of long simmering tensions.
but pretty much whatever his faults everyone loves oakley (and his honesty) and hates dolan (and his weirdness and botched job as owner) so whatever the case the whole idea of the knicks continuing to double down and play it like they're totally innocent and oakley is some security threat is just odd.
i think oak is going to come out this week to tell his side.
