from the various comments I gather the parent was up in arms about previous school punishment issues

and assumed things that weren't the case and crossed the line. I'm quite amused though with the parents flipping out about pictures being taken of their kids while outside, in public with some even "it's never OK to take pictures of kids"
meanwhile, this is the kind of thing that leads to where I can't take pictures of kids in marching band in HS and post them to a FB group for marching band parents because the school views it as violating the rule about taking pictures of kids by the school
