The free version may have a cap on the number of "subscribers". It does have a cap on number of messages.

supposedly maxes out around 8000 users, but that's waaaay more than I'd have. and 5000 messages is probably more than i'd need too...

switching slacks is annoying. I'd generally opt for 1 slack with private or public channels as appropriate. The real downside of that is that Slack

How are you switching Slacks? My Slack browser has 5 buttons on the left for the 5 groups I'm in. Switching is a simple click. -- nm

the free thing is totally workable. You just top out at 10k messages in the back buffer. We use free for the EVE slack and we've got like 4300

looks like premium lets you have guest users too, which would be nice for them not to have to sign up for a slack account. -- nm
