well, for class stuff it sounds okay. if I create a group for each class, that'll be 10k messages in total, right?

i think because it's related to professional chat, knowing info about people won't be an issue for people who are using work emails.
for work stuff, for sure, i'd like to keep it more private, so i think having private channels with individual invites will be best. i guess i can try it free and if there's an issue, i can always upgrade. i assume issues will mean it's being used and successful, so it's not so bad to pay for something that's working well.
