I realize state school has gone up a lot too since I went to school, butI'm really happy my parents pushed me toward state school.

And I know I'm blessed that they had a good college fund for me. I graduate with some debt, but not much. And I was able to pay it off similarly to how the author did, I lived with my parent rent free.
But I know that's not everyone's experience.
