Here they were big supporters of democrats early on as they were new immigrants and that was the party that best supported them. -- (edited)

But as they became assimilated into America their voting preference shifted over to the republicans. It's a shame because they stopped fighting for the working class person and the immigrants and became selfish. They forgot or didn't know what it was like for their grandparents when they got here and they choose to slam the door behind them instead of holding it open for others to join them.
