husband and wife were alcoholics, and you knew that the husband is (or at least, has been) abusive to both the wife and the kids?
It's a friend, a very toxic friend, IMO, of Ashlee's who I've had some extremely negative interactions with in the past, and I'm just trying to gauge how someone without that history, but who had the information about the family that I do, would feel.
