I never begrudge a professional athlete who gets more money.

they're careers are short, can end in one play and are retired at young ages. It's ludicris to expect them to turn down more money for anything but the most extreme of circumstances. I always turn it around and ask those who grumble about them doing it..."Your boss offers you 10K more. Would you turn it down?"
