Me and Pete were discussing it earlier this week. It's set as a story from the 70s flashbacking to the 50s, so you see two eras of Hollywood.

If you grew up in the 70s watching Carson and the Academy Awards, it's great nostalgia, while at the same time it opens a window into the post-war era of Hollywood after the studio system had collapsed. Bette Davis was an instrumental cog in the machine. It's very inside baseball, but much like Taboo was catnip for an historian like me, Feud is catnip for everyone on Slackertalk.
