Anyone ever deduct Goodwill doantions from their taxes? If so a question...

I found their list of the value (or lack thereof) on items. I know they won't give you an itemized receipt, just a receipt that you made a donations. Do you just keep a record of what you're donating yourself and calculate the deduction based on that?
