yep! it's tough - it feels cheaper sending through LinkedIn rather than calling folks..

but honestly, i think people get freaked on the phone. the last guy i called, sounded like i was pulling his fingernails out just having a chat with him. i never liked sales calls and there's nothing i can do to not sound like a sales call :(
