there's a myth out there that "real America" is a bunch of hardy, boot strappers who tell the squishy liberal coastal societies to "go fuck" our feelings. That we're "snowflakes", delicate and unable to handle something that challenges our outlook...if we are guilty of that, it's stories like this that prove they're just as delicate. And I'd put a NYC'er or general Yankee up against any of these Red Staters.

You can't sanctify Sept. 11th and then insult NYC ever other time you speak of the city...
