2.8 WAR on the open market in free agency is worth about $20mil a year at the going rate of $7-8mil per WAR.

You paid for him to amass 7-8 WAR until 2024...he did 1/3 of that last year.

Assuming he did normal arbitration, he's probably worth about $65-75mil via arbitration and two free agent years just as a 3 WAR player.
