I went to a show in Tacoma in the eighties. Towards the end, a guitar string snapped and cut Pete in the hand. Roger finished the show singing AND

playing lead guitar
You could tell he was nervous from the way he spoke to the audience, but then he did a good cover of Hendrix's "Hey Joe"
