make deals for one side to get votes, they lose more from the other. I have a hard time seeing them get there unless they just sell the "we have to now or we never will" argument and "don't worry, we'll fix it later". On the flip side, I'm afraid the response to not passing it is going to be going back to attacking Obamacare. Passing a few more little things to further undermine it and set it up to fail.
