I had a rough night. Well Trish had a rougher night, but she isn't telling this story, I am.

About six weeks ago, she had an infection so the doctor prescribed her Cipro. Well the Cipro did such a good job it not only killed the source of the infection, it killed the "good" bacteria that keeps the yeast in line.

So she developed a big yeast infection so the doctor prescribed her diflucan (sp?). Well the diflucan killed *all* the yeast. Turns out some yeast is good because it in turn keeps a really nasty bacteria in check.

So the nasty bacteria (forgot its name, sorry) ran wild and since Saturday or Sunday she has had almost constant vomiting and diarrhea. The last couple days she could not keep down any food and very little liquid.

So Tuesday night, I was up almost all night with her in case she wanted to go to the ER. She decided to hold off and see if she got better yesterday. I got about two hours of sleep total
and I was exhausted all day.

So last night, she finally decides going to the ER is a good thing. We get there and its packed. It was a two hour wait to get back to exam. So after a while she tells me that she will probably get a couple IV bags and I should go home and get a little rest.

I went home at 11 pm and set the cell phone by my head and I immediately passed out. At 3 am I'm woken up by a cop rapping his flashlight against the bedroom window. I run outside, eyes all blurry while the cop shines his super bright flashlight in my eyes. "Do you have a wife in the ER?" "Yes I do" "Well she is ready to come home now"

I go back grab my keys and cell phone. I missed 27 calls on my cell phone and 11 more calls on my home phone.

(They gave her a bag of antibiotics and two rehydration IV bags and she feels much better this morning. Until those antibiotics kill off something else useful and set off another chain reaction)
