I heard "Something Just Like This" on the local alternative station and that makes it this generation's "Beat It."

Pop stations are playing Coldplay and alternative stations are playing The Chainsmokers. That's a genius collaboration in that sense.

Beat It was famous for being a song with rock elements getting played on R&B stations and a song with R&B elements by Michael Jackson getting played on rock stations. Crossovers like that were completely unheard of then.
