In response to "Lisa Fischer (of "20 Feet from Stardom") Concert - A " by Mel Profit

I used to sing Wild Horses with my band and I actually found it surprisingly challenging to sing. Mick sings it with this sort of country twang and

basically pulls it off because he's Mick Jagger. For the rest of us it's kind of hard to sing without it, but it falls into sounding like a parody very easily. So you have to sort of consciously sing it differently, but it just doesn't lend itself especially well to being sung differently (at least for the amateur like me). It seemed easy on its face, but was harder to pull off in reality.
