But it's like me. If someone announced me with my given first name I'd correct them with my nickname. If you're going to pretend to be casual familiar with someone (by calling them by their first name) then you should get that right. Otherwise stick to "Title, Last Name".

But he gets away with it on the technicality in that he didn't just pick the wrong name entirely. damn.
