In response to "Decades after extinction declaration, hunt for Tasmanian tiger resumes due to fair dinkum report" by crash davis

I'm more than a little sceptical given that Cape York is about 30 degrees north of Tasmania.

I mean, Cape York is pretty remote, but the thylacine has been extinct on mainland Australia for thousands of years - it got out-competed by dingoes after they arrived on the continent.
