Something permanent is a good idea. I'll go with Amanda's suggestion of dinner and wine but giving them something -- (edited)

that is always around is nice. Maybe, a large statue on their lawn. Like an 8' bust of either me or Wayne Brady. Someone named Wayne on their front lawn at all times to greet them when they come home. Thanks for the idea! ;-)
