I didn't recognize him (You don't make eye contact in a NYC elevator). I just thought he was a tall asian man. I heard him talking to his companion. I thought "you never hear an asian character on TV speak with such a deep voice and such pear-shaped tones." It wasn't until I got off the elevator that I recognized him and felt like an idiot. So I didn't really meet him then. But I did interview him in 1996 on the set of "ST: Voyager" when he made a guest appearance. He's still a cool guy.
