Federer takes the first set against Nadal. The start of the year opens a conundrum for Federer. I think his plan for the year was to use the first quarter to get back in playing shape, take the clay court season off and get ready for a run at Wimbledon. Now with his great start and Djokovic and Murray's struggles the #1 ranking is not out of the question. To do that will require a fuller schedule than he was planning. So now does he schedule to try for #1 and possibly run out of steam for the Majors or stick to the win Wimbledon plan and not get enough points for #1?
