why why why make it possible to misinterpret? it takes no more time to be clear.

i never even write dates in the 4/11/17 format, too easy to read wrong, i spell it out April 11, 2017. -- (edited)

yup. unless the day number is 13+ you could easily read it wrong. 4/6/17 could be April 6th or June 4th
