I pulled out all my foot soldiers at the last minute (they loaded up just in time) so the ships slugged it out.

He sent 90 ships against 100 of mine. He lost about 30 and I lost 75. I should have pulled out my ships, too. But when I saw he was sending 1000 soldiers to attack, I knew there was no point leaving my 150 soldiers in town. I lost no materials because I used them all before he arrived.
