I've been doing it for ten years now -- without a single problem or regret.
|
I gave up owning my own personal car when I was living in Washington, DC, and -- for various reasons -- made a commitment to not buy another one until it was necessary for work, taking care of family, etc.
So far, it hasn't been necessary.
I take the bus to and from work, use Zipcar and ReachNow for occasional trips, and use them or Enterprise if I need a rental for multiple days.
If I can do it, so can you! :-)
