Okay, another topic for advice and/or debate: Do I pre-order a Samsung Galaxy 8 or continue saving up for a Google Pixel?

Sprint is running a promotion for the Galaxy 8. If I pre-order today, I pay nothing up front, lease it for 18 months at $31.25 per month, waive the activation fee, and get a "bonus": I can upgrade to the latest Samsung phone for free after 12 of the 18 months have expired.

Oh, and apparently, I get a free "Get a FREE Gear VR headset with Oculus bonus content and Samsung Rewards Experience – a $179 value. with Oculus bonus content and Samsung Rewards Experience – a $179 value." http://www.samsung.com/us/explore/gear-vr

Otherwise, I continue saving up for the Google Pixel. No lease obligations, but I either have to save up the money for the next few months (total cost will be about $700 for purchase, SIM card, and activation), or pay $27.04 a month on a two-year lease (which I don't really want to do, but ...).

I like my Pixel, even though it was a ridiculous thing for me to buy. I don't think Google's handled sales well. Unless you want Project Fi, - Qale Apr 3, 13:54 2
