immediate assistance.
So, the woman calls me. She does NOT need immediate assistance. It is essentially a follow up call to an email she sent pitching her company to us.
I say "(Co-worker) is away, but if interested, I am sure she'll get in touch when she returns."
Them "Should I send an email to see if she got the package? Will she get that before she returns?"
I reiterate "well, she is on *vacation*, I doubt very much she is checking her email or will reply before she comes back."
Them "oh, okay. Well, if you are talking to her, please let her know i called."
"I won't be speaking with her." (in my mind, "and, if i do, your call will NOT be on the list of things i mention, cold caller.")
Them "Oh, i guess people there don't feel the need to check in when they're away on vacation. That's unusual."
YOU ARE NOT IMPORTANT LADY! This isn't how to get on our good side.
