I've found fascinating is watching who has taken advantage of the newfound opportunities as opposed to who has fallen by the wayside.
A year ago, Dean Ambrose was the hottest wrestler going and Dolph Ziggler was giving great matches. Meanwhile, Jericho looked done, Owens seems like he was going to get stuck on the upper mid-card forever, and The Miz was an afterthought.
Ambrose hasn't been interesting in a while, and his matches have sucked all year. Ziggler got multiple pushes that led nowhere. Jericho reinvented himself by going all-in on personality since he realized his ring skills had eroded. Owens took full advantage of the opportunity presented by Balor's injury and Rollins' punishment/later injury. As for The Miz, I can't even put my finger on what happened other than he started talking and never really shut up.
