it's easy to say we shouldn't do this (and in a lot of cases, we shouldn't) but the use of WMD's is one of those things that the US should lead on given we are the leader of the free world.
That has responsibilities...
that said, Bush 43 applied that authority poorly and well, now you see what we see. There's not a good answer there; made worse by the chickenshit assholes playing both sides of the fence in Congress condemning Obama and praising Trump and vice versa.
