Taking in Syrian refugees.
I think, given that neither side of the Syrian conflict is terribly sympathetic, that our best course of action is containment, very limited support for very specific rebel groups, and a HUGE dose of humanitarian aid and refugee placement.
Syria is going to have to burn itself out, I think. That sucks and seeing people suffer angers me, but just about every direct action we could take will make that suffering worse.
I *am* pleased to see that at least the Trump response is in line with how other admins have approached similar responses to similar situations. That means some adult somewhere had the Leo talk with the Pres and made him understand the wisdom of a proportional response. Though I very much doubt Trump was at all Bartlett-like in the sit room.
